Phoenix Lam

PhoenixLam glass products are all manufactured by bonding two pieces of glass together using a unique polyvinyl butyral interlayer.

This interlayer is placed between two sheets of glass and then bonded together in a pressure vessel by means of pressure and temperature and it is the PVB interlayer that ultimately prevents the glass sheets from shattering when broken.

Laminated glass also makes facades, windows and doors more burglar resistant, as it is far more difficult to gain entrance though the glass.

Laminated glass is available in different ratings, NS (normal strength) for human impact safety, which usually has a 0.38mm PVB interlayer, HPR (high penetration resistance) for additional security with a 0.76mm interlayer, HR (Higher resistance) with a 1.14 mm Interlayer and HI (high impact) for the highest security rating with a 1.52mm interlayer.
